Google Gems Project Reflection

  1. Explain how the technology you selected was a logical fit for the student(s) or learning activity.

Google Gems is great for researching Keith Haring as in this project. I think this could be an interesting way to integrate new technology with student learning. I think that they will be using it more and more in the future. It teaches them about technological learning tools and how to use them responsibly as part of the creative research process. It lets them ask their own questions, and learn to find information by prompting for what they are seeking to find. They also will manage the information gained and interpret that into classroom projects. This tool is interesting and helpful, which will keep students engaged as they function as empowered learners and knowledge constructors.

  2. How might digital tools be leveraged to provide inclusive learning opportunities for your students?

Tools like Google Gems can make inclusive learning opportunities happen for students by giving them what feels like an endless amount of options. Through AI, they can explore and learn in custom ways that work for them such as: videos and photos for visual learners, access to language translation for ELL students, asking for feedback or clarification, and culturally specific learning.

  3. How can educators evaluate the effectiveness of integrating technology into lesson planning and design?

    Students reflections:

Students can talk about how the use of technology helped them with the project.

Students can speak about how they guide the Gem and restructure the interaction to seek information about their project.

    Student work:

Are projects more in-depth or higher quality with the use of technology
