Google Gems Project

Google Gems can be used in the classroom as an AI learning assistant to encourage students to ask questions, research, and learn information that will benefit them for their classroom projects and research activities. This would assist the students to come up with ideas, to understand difficult concepts and access resources. It would also be a tool to receive feedback on their creative work or thoughts.

Iste Standards for Students:

Empowered Learner - use technology to seek feedback that informs and improves their practice and to demonstrate their learning in a variety of ways

Technology outcome: Students will brainstorm and develop a research project about Keith Haring with the use of the Google Gem technology. Students can explain how the interaction with the persona and the information they gained helped in their research process.

Knowledge Constructor - plan and employ effect research strategies to locate information and other resources for their intellectual or creative pursuits

Technology outcome: Students will learn the use of prompts to research about Keith Haring and can explain their strategy of prompting and how they guided the prompts (use of keywords or strategy) to find the information they were looking for.
